Aragorn's dagger was given to him by Celeborn in Lothlórien during the War of the Ring.
History[]
The dagger was of Elven-make and was forged sometime prior to the War of the Ring. When the Fellowship of the Ring traveled through Lothlórien in TA 3019, Celeborn gifted the dagger to Aragorn to aid him in the quest ahead. Aragorn used the dagger against the Uruk-hai scouts at the Battle of Amon Hen.[1]
After the breaking of the Fellowship, Aragorn went with Legolas and Gimli to Rohan.[1] He used the knife to parry Éowyn's sword in Edoras, in admiration of her skill as a warrior. He would go on to use the knife in the Battle of Helm's Deep.[2]
Aragorn used the knife again during the Battle of the Black Gate when he was pinned down by the Mordor Attack Troll. He unsheathed it and stabbed the beast in the foot.[3]
