Azog the Defiler put together a hunting party of Hunter Orcs from Gundabad and from Dol Guldur to hunt down Thorin Oakenshield and end the bloodline of Durin. Azog led them until Sauron needed the Defiler to lead his armies and take Erebor. Bolg took over the hunt while his father prepared for war.
