Durin's ring was a Ring of Power given by Sauron to the Dwarf Lord Durin III. Eventually the ring would be passed down the Line of Durin until it reached King Thrór who gave the ring to his son Thráin. During the Battle of Azanulbizar it was cut from Thráin's hand by Azog the Defiler who returned the ring to his master Sauron.
