The Middle-earth Cinematic Universe is an unofficial name for the universe of the Tolkien films and media connected to and/or related to the films. It includes the six Peter Jackson films as well as the upcoming War of the Rohirrim and other tie-in material. This wiki also covers content from Amazon's The Rings of Power TV show and Monolith's Shadow of Mordor game series, labelling them as different continuities.

Soft-canon Games
These games fit nicely into the timeline and don't contradict the main story but are also released with intention of being tied to the film-universe. The wiki considers them canon as official releases from officially licensed game developers.
Monolith Timeline
The games Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and Middle-earth: Shadow of War are confirmed to be non-canon to the film universe but are still heavily tied to the movies. Information from these games is kept seperate on this wiki, labeled as the Monolith Timeline.
Non-canon
The storylines of these games are considered completely non-canon, the only campaign that slightly works with the movies being the good campaign of The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth IIas well as the The Rise of the Witch King dlc. These games can be considered sources for characters, troops and locations except where contradicted by canon material.
