Celebrimbor helped Sauron forge the One Ring at Mount Doom in Mordor after his family were held hostage by the Uruks of Mordor. He immediately put the ring on and escaped Sauron's clutches. He used his power to turn a group of Black Uruk's to his side and they fought against the Uruk's of Sauron in Mordor.
