Fréaláf Hildeson was a Man of Rohan during the Third Age and the nephew of King Helm Hammerhand. He became Lord of Harrowdale and the First Marshal of the Riddermark.
History[]
Early life[]
Fréaláf was born to Hild, the sister of Helm Hammerhand, during the middle of the Third Age. Rumors state his father could have been a Gondorian Prince from Dol Amroth, although this is not known for sure.[1]
Marshal[]
At just twenty-eight years of age, Fréaláf was appointed Lord of Harrowdale and the First Marshal of the Riddermark, the highest rank amongst the Rohirrim. He was tasked with protecting Edoras and the surrounding lands, trusted completely by his uncle the King.[1]

In leading the Éored, Fréaláf developed exceptional diplomacy skills.[1] He is willing to speak the truth to his King, regardless of whether is it a truth that his uncle wants to hear.[1] He is loyal to the people of Rohan before anything else.[1]
