Gundabad Orc Soldiers were the great warrior Gundabad Orcs from Mount Gundabad. They were called upon by Bolg spawn of Azog to aid the latter during the Battle of the Five Armies. They were all destroyed by Beorn, Radagast and the Great Eagles before they could reach the Dwarves, Men and Elves.

History[]

Necromancer's campaign[]

After he learnt of the intervention of Legolas and Tauriel in Bolg's hunt for Thorin Oakenshield, Azog the Defiler requested that the legions of the North be sent forth to aid the army of Dol Guldur in claiming the Lonely Mountain as a tactical position for Sauron his master.

As Legolas Greenleaf and Tauriel watched in horror, the Gundabad Orcs left their stronghold under the command of Bolg. While Bolg led the Orc Berserkers to Ravenhill to aid Azog, he sent the army of Gundabad war orcs to aid the front lines and they marched past Ravenhill. Legolas, upside-down hanging off a war bat, killed a whole platoon of Gundabad War Orcs as they continued past Ravenhill. They were stopped by the arrival of the Great Eagles ridden by Radagast and Beorn, the latter of who leapt off his eagle and transformed into bear-form, destroying most of the army with the help of the eagles.
