Hèra was the daughter of Helm Hammerhand and a Princess of Rohan during the Third Age.
History[]
Early life[]
Hèra was born in Rohan, the youngest child of Helm Hammerhand and his only daughter. Her mother tragically died in childbirth, leaving her to be raised by her father, the King.[1]
Héra learned to ride as a child, becoming one of the most skilled horse riders in Rohan very quickly. She also befriended a young Wulf, song of Freca, in the Westmarch.[1] She ventured near the Westmarch on many occasions to play and practice fighting with Wulf. On one such instance, she accidentally cut Wulf's face with her sword and he told her to run before his father found her.[2]
Feeding the Eagles[]
Years later, Hèra was riding on her horse, Ashere, with two Great Eagles flying by. She galloped to the rock-top to mount off her horse to feed them some meat. One of the Eagles approached her. Hèra tried to tame the flying beast, but it got startled and flew away.[2]
