The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey: Visual Companion is a reference guidebook written by Jude Fisher as a companion-piece to the film The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, the first film in Peter Jackson's Hobbit Trilogy. The book was published in 2012 by HarperCollinsPublishers and was followed by a sequel companion for The Desolation of Smaug. Jude Fisher was invited on set during the filming of the movie to get details and information from the producers and film-makers when writing the book.
